Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

Role Overview Provides direct and indirect patient care in a Med/Surg Surgical setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to ensure patient dignity, autonomy, and health restoration. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, along with other assigned tasks. Key Responsibilities Assess patients accurately based on medical conditions. Administer prescribed medications and provide appropriate care for various ages and conditions. Develop and evaluate patient and family teaching plans. Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and procedures. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care. Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical skills. Address psychosocial needs and coordinate with social services for discharge planning. Practice cost-effective use of supplies and promote patient safety. Prioritize patient care efficiently and commit to ongoing professional development. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program. RN licensure and BLS certification (within 14 days of hire); ACLS/PALS preferred. Computer literacy required; additional certifications are advantageous.
