Project Manager – Hotel Renovation & Development

Vista Investments, LLC

Project Manager – Hotel Renovation & Development | Sacramento, CA Vista Investments is a vertically integrated hotel owner, developer, and operator based in Southern California, with a growing portfolio of branded hotels across the West Coast. Our in-house teams manage every phase of a project — from acquisition and design through construction and day-to-day operations. About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager to lead a pipeline of hotel renovation and repositioning projects across California. The flagship project is a major renovation and brand-conversion effort based in the Sacramento area, and you will also support ongoing improvement work at other properties in our growing portfolio throughout the state. Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end project management for multiple concurrent hotel renovation and brand-conversion projects across California • Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership, architects, general contractors, vendors, and brand representatives throughout design and construction • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work; proactively identify and resolve risks, delays, and cost overruns • Coordinate FF&E and OS&E procurement and installation timelines • Ensure renovation work complies with brand standards (including PIP requirements), permitting, and safety regulations • Conduct regular site visits and inspections; prepare progress reports for executive leadership • Support brand conversion milestones and approvals across multiple properties in the portfolio • Travel regularly between multiple project sites across California What We're Looking For • 4+ years of construction project management experience, ideally in hospitality, hotel renovation, or multi-site capital improvement projects • Experience working with major hotel brands (Marriott, Best Western, Hilton, etc.) and familiarity with PIP/brand conversion processes is a strong plus • Strong working knowledge of construction budgets, scheduling tools (MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, etc.), and contractor/vendor management • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable working directly with ownership and executive leadership • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within California • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred; PMP certification a plus Why Join Us This is a rare opportunity to take true ownership of high-impact renovation projects at a privately held, vertically integrated hospitality company, working shoulder-to-shoulder with ownership and executive leadership rather than buried in layers of bureaucracy. You'll see your projects through from blueprint to ribbon-cutting, build a track record with globally recognized hotel brands, and grow your career as our pipeline continues to expand across California. If you love rolling up your sleeves on a job site and want real influence over how a project comes together, we'd love to hear from you.
