Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year A bit about us: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in our organization as it directly contributes to the successful planning and execution of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a wide range of sectors including commercial, retail, K-12, government, office, research, higher education, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, sports & recreation. Job Details Responsibilities: As a Permanent Estimator, your key responsibilities will include: 1. Developing comprehensive, detailed project estimates and bids for a variety of construction projects. 2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. 3. Conducting thorough risk analysis to support the successful completion of construction projects. 4. Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and architects during the process of estimating. 5. Researching and tracking market trends to ensure the most cost-effective execution of project plans. 6. Participating in proposal presentations and project meetings. 7. Maintaining a comprehensive database of cost specifications and estimates. 8. Providing consultation on planning, scheduling, and cost summary reports. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating, construction estimating or a related field. 2. Proven experience in a variety of sectors including commercial, retail, K-12, government, office, research, higher education, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, sports & recreation. 3. Strong knowledge of project estimation, cost management, project bidding, and blueprint reading. 4. Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheet software. 5. Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills. 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 8. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 9. Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar will be considered an asset.
