Role Description The CDL A Delivery Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Davenport, FL. This role is responsible for safely operating a commercial tractor-trailer to deliver grocery and foodservice products to customer locations on assigned routes and schedules. Day-to-day tasks include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and unloading products using appropriate equipment, verifying deliveries against manifests, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. The driver will interact professionally with customers, follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies, and communicate with dispatch regarding route progress, delays, and any issues. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized vehicle, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting teammates to ensure timely, accurate deliveries. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and adherence to all DOT regulations. Proven safe driving skills, including experience with tractor-trailers, maneuvering in tight spaces, and backing into docks. Ability to perform loading and unloading tasks, including lifting, pulling, and carrying product using pallet jacks or other equipment. Strong time management and route navigation skills, with the ability to follow delivery schedules and adjust to changing conditions. Effective communication and customer service skills for interacting with customers, dispatch, and teammates in a professional manner. Reliability and attention to detail in completing logs, delivery paperwork, inspections, and safety checklists. High school diploma or equivalent; prior commercial delivery or foodservice distribution experience is beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
