Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0JAAA US ARMY COUNTERINTELLIGENCE COMMAND. Introduces and validates innovative analytic methods and models for threat projection across the CI enterprise. Develops long-range threat projections and estimative judgments that shape Army program, installation, and personnel protection decisions. Detects emerging threat vectors before they are reflected in established reporting streams and warns leadership. Reconciles competing national-level analytic lines and explains the basis for divergent judgments. Tailors written products for Army staff, command, and joint consumers without loss of analytic rigor. Ensures written products comply with command policy, source protection rules, and analytic standards. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1)analyzing all-source intelligence and counterintelligence information to assess foreign military, security service, terrorist, and information operations threats; 2) evaluating fragmentary and conflicting reporting to determine adversary capabilities, vulnerabilities, and intentions; AND 3) planning, coordinating, and synthesizing contributions from multiple analysts to produce finished all-source intelligence products and responses to Departmental and national-level intelligence requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
