Role Description The Tax Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Owensboro, KY. In this position, the Tax Associate will assist with preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, supporting timely and accurate tax filings for the company. The role includes maintaining tax records, organizing documentation, and supporting responses to tax notices or audits under the guidance of senior finance and tax personnel. The Tax Associate will help monitor changes in tax regulations, assist with implementation of tax policies, and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper reporting. Day-to-day tasks also include data entry related to tax matters, reconciling tax-related accounts, and contributing to process improvements that support compliance and efficiency. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Tax Compliance and Tax Law to help interpret regulations and ensure accurate filings. Candidates should possess skills in Tax Preparation and general Tax work to support return preparation and related documentation. Candidates should possess foundational Finance skills to understand financial statements and the impact of tax on business operations. Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software are beneficial. Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple deadlines is important. Prior experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or construction industry finance is a plus.
