Overview &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Operate the cutting and seaming line and direct department personnel to assure the safety, product quality, efficency, and performance goals are consistently achieved.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Responsibilities &amp; Key Deliverables &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; In addition to the responsibilities and key deliverables listed for a material handler: &nbsp; &nbsp; Verify process output is within specified quality limits and make adjustments and/or communicate&nbsp; when outside allowable limits. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Executes, interprets, records, and properly responds to inspections and test results. &nbsp; &nbsp; Responsible for isolating and/or rejecting materials out of specification. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Assures transactions (i.e. production, rejects, inventory, work hours, etc.) are accurately recorded. Assists in shift preparation, directing personnel, and shut-down or hand-off at end of shift. &nbsp; Ensure all process equipment is controlled and maintained to accepted standards. &nbsp; &nbsp; Actively participate in the Toyota Production System (TPS) activities &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Requirements &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; In addition to the requirements listed for a material handler: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Excellent work history in a manufacturing environment. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Good math &amp; computer interface skills. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Good communication and organization skills. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Strong interpretation and decision-making skills. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Good time-management skills;&nbsp; able to think ahead while completing the tasks at hand. &nbsp; &nbsp; Stable personality to assist in training employees and confidently direct co-workers with respect. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Preferences &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Post high-school education or degree. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Experience in glass fabrication, operating equipment, or similar responsibilities. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Demonstrated leadership ability or potential. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Mechanical aptitude. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Proven record of involvement (improvement ideas, team membership, positive interaction, PARs, etc.) Record of consistent and predicable work attendance&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; What OBE&nbsp;Offers You Benefits that benefit you – industry competitive&nbsp;benefits&nbsp;at the lowest cost to the employee Work-life balance – PTO and holidays, including floating holidays you can choose Compensation that rewards your hard work – A pay-for-performance culture with potential for annual raises and bonuses Training – We will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed OBE Privacy Policy OBE will not discharge or discriminate against employees or applicants for discussing, disclosing, or inquiring about their own or others' pay. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
