Software Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner! The Role • Own the design, implementation, and operation of core components for in-house network software, including controllers, software-defined networking, and planning software. • Translate ambiguous requirements into high-quality, scalable, and well-tested code. • Contribute to design documentation and participate in design reviews. • Ensure operational excellence for services in production, enhancing monitoring and alarming. • Drive correctness and safety for automation acting on production networks, focusing on idempotency, guardrails, and observability. • Collaborate with team members and partner teams to evolve products and improve processes. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. • 3+ years of professional software development experience. • 3+ years of experience in designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, or distributed software applications. • Proficiency in languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl. • 3+ years of experience with Object-Oriented Design and contributing to system architecture and design. • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
