This role ensures efficient, cost-effective, and timely acquisition of materials, tools and supplies necessary for successful project execution. The manager will oversee the purchasing and tool management teams, maintain vendor relationships, and collaborate with project and area managers to streamline operations and control costs.&nbsp; Essential Job Responsibilities&nbsp;&nbsp; Leadership and Team Management:&nbsp; Lead, manage, and direct the Purchasing and Tool teams across all regions. Training field personnel on Procurement policies and proper use of the company's purchasing system. Interview, hire, and train team members; ensure consistent communication and professional development.&nbsp; Set clear expectations for daily operations including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communications.&nbsp; Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork to meet productivity and accuracy goals.&nbsp; Conduct regular meetings with team&nbsp;leads&nbsp;and regional managers to align&nbsp;purchasing&nbsp;strategies with project needs.&nbsp; Purchasing Operations:&nbsp; Manage daily purchasing activities including orders, buyouts, and vendor coordination.&nbsp; Review buyouts and quotes on high-value materials; verify cost accuracy and potential savings.&nbsp; Maintain consistency in the purchasing process and ensure&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;information&nbsp;flow&nbsp;to the field.&nbsp; Respond to field communications promptly and provide purchasing reports on a regular basis.&nbsp; Approve orders requiring higher-level authorization and ensure compliance with&nbsp;Delegation&nbsp;of Authority (DOA) limits.&nbsp; Collaborate with project managers to resolve material issues and reduce purchase order volume inefficiencies.&nbsp; Monitor market and delivery conditions to&nbsp;anticipate&nbsp;material availability and price fluctuations.&nbsp; Evaluate and approve vendor performance on a quarterly basis&nbsp; Vendor Contract Management:&nbsp; Develop and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;strong relationships with key vendors across the states within each region.&nbsp; Ensure that negotiated pricing, payment terms, and discounts on high-volume materials are being followed.&nbsp; Ensure vendors adhere to agreed-upon quality of service and delivery standards.&nbsp; Pursue alternative materials and cost-saving solutions to improve margins.&nbsp; Coordinate vendor evaluations,&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;contract compliance, and ensure transparent documentation of&nbsp;purchasing&nbsp;policies.&nbsp; Business Strategy Process:&nbsp; Analyze and document material and tool processes to&nbsp;identify&nbsp;areas for increased efficiency and profitability.&nbsp; Collaborate with project management to develop strategic purchasing initiatives that align with company goals.&nbsp; Lead continuous improvement efforts across the purchasing function to streamline communication, improve cost control, and enhance value creation.&nbsp; Communicate market conditions and pricing trends to management on a weekly basis.&nbsp; Participate with project managers in the development of specifications for materials and substitute products.&nbsp; Plan future capacity requirements to meet growth and operational demands.&nbsp; Administrative and Support Function:&nbsp; Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;records of all purchases, requisitions, and vendor communications.&nbsp; Collaborate with Accounts Payable to verify invoices&nbsp;against&nbsp;purchase orders.&nbsp; Provide regular updates and reports to the Operations Management teams.&nbsp; Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and environmental&nbsp;objectives.&nbsp;  &nbsp; Minimum Qualifications&nbsp; Required:&nbsp;&nbsp; Minimum of five (5) years of&nbsp;purchasing&nbsp;and/or warehouse management experience, preferably in the electrical or construction industry.&nbsp; Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.&nbsp; Excellent organizational and leadership abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.&nbsp; Proficient in MS Office and computerized purchasing systems.&nbsp; Knowledge of market dynamics, cost analysis, and supply chain principles.&nbsp; Ability to assess and implement cost-saving measures effectively.&nbsp; Self-motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.&nbsp; Physical Demands and Work Environment&nbsp; The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
