Senior Data Scientist / AI Analyst

SteerBridge is seeking a Lead AI/Data Analyst to support the Marine Corps Logistics GPN program. This role serves as the lead analyst and coordinator at the Pentagon, overseeing an off-site team of junior and mid-level data analysts responsible for transforming complex logistics data into actionable metrics that support mission readiness and operational decision-making.   Position Overview The Lead AI/Data Analyst will establish data standards, deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources, and ensure the integrity and quality of enterprise data. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and modeling and simulation tools to develop predictive models, create visualizations, and deliver data-driven insights that enhance logistics operations. This position is based at the Pentagon with oversight of a distributed analytics team supporting Marine Corps logistics initiatives. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead analyst and onsite coordinator at the Pentagon, overseeing and mentoring an off-site team of junior and mid-level data analysts while coordinating analytical support for Marine Corps logistics operations. Establish and maintain program data standards, ensuring data from multiple sources is accurately captured, integrated, validated, and prepared for operational analysis. Develop and deploy automated processes using Python, R, SQL, and other scripting and querying tools to extract, transform, validate, and synthesize data for reporting and analysis. Construct and maintain analytical datasets, monitor data quality, troubleshoot database and data issues, and ensure the integrity and reliability of program data. Develop algorithms, user interfaces, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products that translate complex data into actionable insights for mission stakeholders. Apply statistical analysis, data modeling, artificial intelligence, and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop predictive models and support data-driven decision-making. Develop and apply high-resolution modeling, simulation, and optimization techniques using tools such as ExtendSim and OptDef to evaluate complex operational scenarios and recommend solutions. Analyze and integrate Department of Defense logistics data from systems such as TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC to support model inputs, advanced analytics, reporting, and Marine Corps logistics decision-making. Required Qualifications Eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship is required for this position under applicable federal contract requirements. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance as required for the role. Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related professional experience. Strong proficiency with Python, R, and/or SQL for data analysis, scripting, querying, automation, algorithm development, and data transformation. Experience applying AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop predictive models and analyze complex datasets. Experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, business intelligence tools, dashboard development, and data visualization. Experience using high-resolution modeling and simulation software such as ExtendSim and simulation optimization tools such as OptDef. Familiarity with Department of Defense logistics systems, including TFSMS, GCSS-MC, and MCPIC, with the ability to manipulate and prepare data from these systems for modeling and analysis.
