Line Cook – Full Time + Benefits Glenaire | Cary, NC Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week | Weekend Availability Required Love Cooking but Want Something More Stable Than Restaurant Life? Glenaire is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team! If you enjoy preparing great food, working with a strong team, and taking pride in what comes out of your kitchen, we’d love to meet you. Pay starting at $18.50/hour. At Glenaire, you’ll prepare fresh, high-quality meals for our residents in a professional kitchen environment where consistency, teamwork, and service matter . This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays. What You’ll Do Prepare high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules Work the hot line while ensuring food is cooked properly, served at the correct temperature, and presented attractively Taste and check prepared foods for quality and consistency Follow safe food-handling, sanitation, and storage procedures Keep workstations, refrigerators, storage areas, and kitchen equipment clean and organized Properly operate and care for kitchen equipment Assist with food production planning, receiving, inventory, and supplies as needed Communicate equipment or maintenance concerns promptly Work closely with chefs and other culinary team members to provide excellent service Maintain a clean, safe, professional kitchen environment What We’re Looking For At least 2 years of general cooking experience OR 1 year of institutional/high-volume cooking experience Experience working on a kitchen line Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and safe food-handling practices Ability to follow recipes and produce consistent, high-quality food Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team Strong attention to quality, cleanliness, and food safety Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed Experience with therapeutic diets is a plus Why Join Glenaire?
