Description Grand Prairie, TX | Day Shift | Local Routes | Home Every Night Looking for a local Class A driving career with a predictable schedule and more time at home? American Metals Supply is hiring an experienced Local CDL Class A Driver for our Grand Prairie location. You'll make local deliveries within approximately a 175-mile radius and be home every night. Monday–Friday schedule Home every night – no OTR Local routes within approximately a 175-mile radius No weekends Weekly pay 100% employee-owned company (ESOP) 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with 6% employer match PTO and paid holidays – eligible immediately Excellent family medical benefits – eligible the first of the month following 30 days Employer paid dental insurance with elected medical coverage Employer sponsored life and AD&D insurance What You'll Do This is a hands-on local delivery position , not a drop-and-hook driving job. You'll make multiple customer deliveries throughout the day and assist customers with unloading HVAC and sheet metal products. You'll also: Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local delivery routes Provide excellent service to customers at delivery locations Assist with unloading and properly handling materials Complete required pre-trip inspections and transportation documentation Operate forklifts and RF scanners as needed Assist the warehouse team with loading your truck for the following day's deliveries Help with warehouse operations during non-route time Requirements What We're Looking For Valid Class A CDL Current DOT medical card Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience Safe driving record and strong commitment to safety Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including loading and unloading materials and frequently entering and exiting the truck Forklift and warehouse/distribution experience preferred Dependable, customer-focused attitude More Benefits No-cost general medical and mental health telehealth No-cost virtual physical therapy Employee Assistance Program (EAP) FSA, HSA and dependent care options Employer-paid wellness program Voluntary supplemental coverage options Pet insurance Build Your Career as an Employee-Owner Since 1962, American Metals Supply has been a leading wholesale distributor of sheet and coil steel, prefabricated duct and fittings, and HVACR products.
