Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing Data Center Technology organization. The successful candidate will support financial operations, accounting processes, risk management initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 2-3 years of experience and exposure to risk, contracts, legal documentation, or compliance-related accounting functions. What you’ll do Accounting & Financial Operations Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Prepare financial reports and assist with audit requests. Knowledge with Spanish accounting rules and best practices   Risk Management & Compliance Assist in identifying and monitoring financial, operational, and compliance risks. Support internal control reviews and risk mitigation activities. Ensure accounting processes comply with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation related to compliance, governance, and audit activities. Spanish GAAP / PGC: Knowledge with the Spanish Plan General de Contabilidad (PGC) and Commercial Code, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and annual accounts present a true and fair view. Statutory records & governance: Spain requires maintenance/legalization of mandatory accounting books, including the Journal and Inventory & Annual Accounts, with supporting records retained generally for six years and statutory filings made through the Commercial Registry where applicable.   Contract & Legal Support Review vendor agreements, customer contracts, and procurement documentation from a financial perspective. Assist with tracking contractual obligations, payment terms, and risk exposures. Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure contract compliance. Maintain records for legal, tax, and regulatory filings. Data Center Business Support Monitor and reconcile technology infrastructure expenses, including equipment, maintenance, and service contracts. Support capital expenditure (CapEx) and operational expenditure (OpEx) tracking. Assist with asset accounting and depreciation schedules for data center equipment. Analyze cost allocations related to cloud, infrastructure, and facility operations. What you’ll need   Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 2-3 years of accounting experience. Working knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting principles. Experience supporting risk management, internal controls, compliance, or audit activities. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish. Preferred Exposure to technology, telecommunications, cloud services, or data center industries. Understanding of contract review, legal documentation, or regulatory compliance. Progress toward CPA designation is an asset. Experience with SOX controls, risk assessment frameworks, or governance processes. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
