Java/Python AWS Software Engineer

Client: NSA Employment Type: Full-Time Work Location: Onsite Fort Meade, Maryland Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Java/Python AWS Software Engineer to develop, maintain, enhance, test, and integrate complex software systems. The individual will work with Java, Python, and AWS services and collaborate with Systems Engineers within an Agile development environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems. Develop solutions using Java and Python. Develop and prototype technical solutions using AWS cloud services. Develop and implement automated testing at the functional and system levels. Collaborate with Systems Engineers in an Agile development environment. Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements. Document software test results. Investigate and resolve software problem reports. Apply appropriate software-development and design methodologies. Support systems involving large datasets, analytics, algorithms, and other complex processing requirements. Contribute to system-design decisions involving hardware/software trade-offs. Evaluate software reuse and the use of COTS and GOTS solutions. Perform requirements analysis and translate system-level requirements into software components. Required Qualifications Seven (7) years of Software Engineering experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Experience with Java. Experience with Python. Experience with AWS. Experience developing and testing complex software systems. Education/Experience Substitution Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience on projects using similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
