# Staff Accountant

Assisting in the monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of intercompany accounts for corporate and holding companies and other corresponding reconciliations Performing account analysis and assisting with SEC reporting as well as internal reporting Assisting in the preparation of governmental quarterly and annual reports Participating in special projects as assigned Responsible for the accounts payable function related to the corporate office Preparation of the financial statements for the Company’s Holding Companies Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance 1 to 3 years of progressive corporate accounting experience Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a deadline driven department Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting concepts with the ability to learn internal policies and procedures and apply them to routine situations Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs. BS in Accounting 50-65k Well Established Consumer Goods Organization
