EXL is seeking an accomplished Assistant General Counsel to lead technology transaction negotiations and drive enterprise vendor contracting strategy. This senior legal role is central to EXL’s mission of transforming businesses through data, AI, and deep industry expertise.
The Assistant General Counsel will oversee complex technology and commercial agreements, with a focus on cloud and data contracts. This leader will ensure business teams understand the full implications of contracts, balancing commercial objectives with legal, policy, and reputational considerations. The role requires sound judgment, the ability to defend positions with both internal stakeholders and counterparties, and a collaborative approach within a global legal team.
Candidates should bring at least seven years of experience, including time at a top-tier US law firm and in-house roles focused on technology, SaaS, and software licensing. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage mission-critical tasks in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication with senior executives are essential.
