Software Engineer

VOR Technology is seeking a Software Engineer who designs, develops, maintains, enhances and documents software systems. Responsibilities will include the following: Analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements Designing and coding new software or modify existing software to add new features. Debugs existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Integrates existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Assisting with developing and executing test procedures for software components. Analyzes systems flow, data usage and work processes, and investigates problem areas. Develops simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories. All Candidates must have a TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph Seven (7) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. One (1) year of demonstrated experience with: • C++/Java, scripting languages (i.e., Perl), web development tools (i.e., Cold Fusion), and XML technologies, Java EE, Java Persistence API (JPA), the Springsource Framework, Spring Tool Suite, Git, JUnit, Maven, Jenkins, Hibernate, HTML5, CSS3, MySQL, Web Services, and Google Web Toolkit (GWT) Additional Desired Qualifications: Experience with CentOS, Eclipse, IntelliJ, Nexus, Redmine, Tomcat, Selenium, MACHINESHOP technologies. Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree (Computer Science) Four (4) years of software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelors degree Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope clearance US citizenship is required.
