Journeyman Machinist - Special Products - 2nd Shift

Primary Responsibility:   Manufacture and repair special products • build prototypes    Duties and Responsibilities: Efficiently operate all standard machine tools Make mathematical calculations required for setting up and machining any part Read drawings, use precision measuring instruments and hand tools Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications Assemble and disassemble precision parts and equipment Welding ( tig, mig, stick and gas ) Metal fabrication Reverse engineering Design and build tooling and fixtures Manufacture dies, machine tools, cutting tools, and other tools   Minimum Qualifications   Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Good mechanical skills Good shop math skills Basic understanding of hydraulics, electricity, pneumatics, and a familiarization with computer technology. Thorough knowledge of metallurgy and heat treating Work with minimum supervision   Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Four years journeyman level experience.   Physical requirements Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion Stand for extended periods • 2 hour periods Some overtime required #LI-DNI  #INDMaxcess is an equal employment opportunity employer.
