Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Chamblee, GA. The Truck Driver will operate company trucks to transport materials such as asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and equipment to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner. Daily responsibilities include performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, following DOT and company safety procedures, securing and unloading materials, and maintaining accurate delivery logs and documentation. The role also involves coordinating with dispatch, forepersons, and crew members to support project schedules, adjusting routes as needed, and representing ASCON professionally at customer and job locations. The Truck Driver may assist with basic truck maintenance checks and support site operations as required. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A license and safe Truck Driving experience with heavy commercial vehicles. Knowledge of DOT Regulations and company safety policies, including pre-trip inspections and compliance documentation. Ability to safely handle loading and Unloading of materials, including securing loads and using basic material-handling equipment. Strong awareness of road, job site, and equipment safety, with the ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing site conditions. Clean driving record and ability to meet federal and state transportation requirements. Reliable attendance and willingness to work early mornings, occasional evenings, and varied weather conditions as projects require. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field crews, dispatch, and supervisors. Previous experience in construction, paving, or concrete hauling is preferred. Ability to lift and move materials as needed and perform basic physical tasks associated with active job sites.
