Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

THE ROLE We are hiring a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This is a hands-on role with significant exposure to a large, complex real estate portfolio. You will support the full FP&A cycle — from budgeting and forecasting to asset-level reporting and financial modeling — with a focus on commercial real estate assets. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong analytical instincts, and wants to build deep expertise across a diversified property portfolio. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare, maintain, and analyze property-level and portfolio-level financial models, budgets, and forecasts Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for senior leadership and stakeholders Conduct variance analysis between actuals, budget, and prior periods, and clearly communicate findings Build and maintain Excel-based financial models to support investment decisions, reforecasting, and capital planning Collaborate with Asset Management, Accounting, and Operations teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity Support underwriting and due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and redevelopment projects Assist in the preparation of investor reports and executive presentations Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, tools, and efficiency across the Finance function Pull, reconcile, and analyze financial data from Yardi and other internal systems QUALIFICATIONS Required: Minimum 3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance role Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate (retail, mixed-use, office, or similar asset classes) Advanced Excel skills, including complex financial modeling, dynamic formulas, sensitivity and scenario analysis Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights Solid understanding of real estate financial concepts: NOI, CAM, leasing structures, cap rates, and cash flow analysis Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial work Strong communication skills, able to present clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Preferred: Experience with Yardi (Voyager or similar modules) for financial reporting and data extraction Familiarity with property management workflows and commercial lease structures WHAT WE OFFER Direct exposure to a growing U.S. commercial real estate portfolio with a long-term investment horizon A collaborative, performance-driven Finance team with access to senior leadership A company that operates and thinks like an owner, where your work directly supports strategic decisions Competitive compensation and benefits package New York City office with an on-site, in-person team culture Summit Properties USA is an equal opportunity employer.
