Role Description The Field Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in New Orleans, LA, responsible for driving new business growth for Auris payroll and HR solutions. In this role, the representative will prospect and qualify leads, conduct in-person meetings and product demonstrations, and build strong relationships with local small and medium-sized business owners and operators. The role involves managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and closing new customer contracts while meeting and exceeding assigned sales targets. The representative will collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to ensure smooth onboarding, maintain accurate records in CRM tools, and provide feedback from the field to help refine Auris’s offerings. Day-to-day work includes networking in the community, attending local events, and consistently representing Auris as a trusted partner for payroll and HR services. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in B2B field sales, particularly selling SaaS, payroll, HR, or related business services to small and medium-sized businesses. Strong prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management skills, with the ability to prioritize opportunities and drive deals to close. Effective relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills, including comfort with in-person meetings and group demonstrations. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in clear, accessible language. Familiarity with CRM tools and basic sales reporting, plus competence in standard business software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, presentations). Knowledge of payroll, HR, or compliance processes is highly beneficial; experience working with small business owners is a plus. Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and travel locally in the New Orleans, LA area as needed. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience in a sales-focused role.
