At Great Bay Doggie Daycare (GBDD) in picturesque Durham, NH, we believe dogs deserve more than a place to spend the day. Our goal is to provide the exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation that come from spending time with other dogs in a safe, controlled environment. Our outdoor campus is designed with both dogs and their humans in mind. With sun and shade, pools, chairs, playground equipment, decks, and awnings for extra shade and rain protection, we’ve created an environment where dogs can play and our team can stay active alongside them. We’re looking for aself-motivated, friendly, and experienced Dog Daycare Attendant to join us in a full-time, year-round position. Why Our Doggie Daycare Attendants Love Working Here Weekdays only—keep your weekends for yourself Flexible scheduling Spend your workday interacting with dogs in an active environment Work on a campus designed for exercise, enrichment, and outdoor play Join a supportive, team-oriented workplace Work somewhere questions are encouraged and your efforts are appreciated Make a direct impact on the safety, comfort, and happiness of the dogs in our care What Our Doggie Daycare Attendants Do Supervise dogs during group play and daycare activities Help provide appropriate exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation Monitor dog interactions and body language to maintain a safe environment Recognize changes in behavior and respond appropriately Think quickly and calmly when stressful situations arise Help maintain clean, comfortable, and organized play and care areas Support safe use of pools, playground equipment, decks, and other campus areas Remain attentive and engaged while supervising dogs for extended periods Communicate effectively with teammates and help create a positive environment Provide friendly customer service when interacting with pet owners What You’ll Bring Previous experience in a doggy daycare and/or equine and barn setting is required Knowledge and understanding of dog body language Ability to think quickly and make sound decisions in stressful situations Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods Ability to perform the lifting and physical activity required in an active animal-care environment Self-motivation and a strong work ethic Friendly, dependable, team-oriented attitude Comfort working outdoors and in an active environment Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive experience for every dog Customer service skills are a plus The Extras You’ll Actually Feel This isn’t a job where you’ll spend your day behind a desk.
