SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
You will provide comprehensive oversight of personnel, programs, contractors, resources, and organizational processes to ensure effective performance, accountability, and achievement of mission objectives.
You will make decisions regarding non-routine, costly, or controversial training needs and requests for employees within the organization.
You will determine whether contractor performance meets established standards and requirements necessary to authorize payment for completed work.
You will identify and implement strategies to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to productivity, strengthen teamwork, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall business practices.
You will ensure consistency and equity in performance standards, rating methodologies, and the assessment of employee and contractor performance across units, teams, groups, and projects.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing the integration of near-term fleet support requirements with long-range strategic planning to modernize maritime logistics processes in alignment with NAVSUP Headquarters, OPNAV, and Type Commander objectives; 2) Lead a multi-disciplinary division of civilian personnel in a high-consequence supply and logistics support environment; 3) Direct the planning, execution, and reconciliation of complex budgetary requirements across multiple Navy appropriations; 4) Serving as the senior logistics authority utilizing advanced metrics, flow charts, and other analytical tools to evaluate maritime technical program efficiency and maintain continuous surveillance of technical operations; 5) Direct division actions and functional performance across interrelated acquisition and logistics programs, translating technical requirements into optimized support strategies.
