YKS Mathematics teacher

Role Description The YKS Mathematics Teacher role at Ihsan International School is a full-time, on-site position based in Istanbul. The teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging YKS-focused mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and examination requirements. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assigning and grading assessments, and providing regular feedback to learners to support exam readiness and conceptual understanding. The teacher collaborates with colleagues on curriculum development, participates in faculty meetings, and contributes to academic initiatives that enhance student performance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, supporting student guidance for YKS preparation, and fostering a respectful, inclusive classroom environment. Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education , with a focus on YKS exam standards. Demonstrated experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for upper secondary and exam-preparation courses. Status as a Qualified Teacher , with appropriate teaching certification or license relevant to secondary-level mathematics. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or Mathematics Education. Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs and apply effective classroom management strategies. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an international, multicultural school environment. Commitment to professional ethics, continuous learning, and use of educational technology to support teaching and assessment.
