Housing Management Assistant

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. You will prepare reports (e.g., base loading, inventory, usage, and occupancy) to provide housing trends and decision tools to command and regional program managers. You will prepare appropriate housing reports or documentation concerning occupancy, vacancy, placement or other related activities. You will advise incoming personnel on types of housing available (e.g., eligibility for number of bedrooms, turn-down options, tenant rights and obligations, procedures) for on and off base moves. You will collaborate with management officials (e.g., public and private housing representatives, law enforcement agencies) to maintain effective working relationships with community organizations affecting off-base housing. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ensuring proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Housing Program; 2) Interpreting housing directives, regulations, policies and procedures and explains them to military personnel; 3) Processing requests for permanent and temporary quarters; and 4) Maintaining appropriate Housing Referral Services (HRS) correspondence, records, timekeeping data, personnel files, directives and procedures, and necessary documentation of actions and processes.
