About the Company A Japanese food trading company in Honolulu is hiring for a Restaurant Sales Representative position. About the Role Sales Representative • Restaurant Division ( Full-time Exempt ) Responsibilities Responsible for maintenance and development of customer accounts Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales Communicate daily with customers Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability and uses Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support Provide customers with product samples and catalogs Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms Collect payment Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports Other duties as required to support on-going sales and other branch operational needs Qualifications College graduate or equivalent preferred Excellent English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking Knowledge of Japanese language and business culture preferred Good driving record required Able to drive long distances Strong attention to detail Previous sales experience required Prior experience in Asian food sales/distribution industry preferred Microsoft Office computer skills required (Excel, Word) Required Skills Excellent English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking Good driving record required Able to drive long distances Strong attention to detail Previous sales experience required Microsoft Office computer skills required (Excel, Word) Preferred Skills College graduate or equivalent preferred Knowledge of Japanese language and business culture preferred Prior experience in Asian food sales/distribution industry preferred Strong interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Take initiative in completing tasks Customer service oriented and able to catch on quickly Able to prioritize and follow through Be punctual and dependable Positive attitude Strong attention to detail Available to travel on overnight business trips Pay range and compensation package $48,000~84,000 Medical, dental, and vision 401k after one year of service Discretionary annual bonus Working Hours, Working style 8:00~17:00 Full-time Working Location Honolulu, Hawaii Holidays Sat, Sun, National Holiday
