# Accountant (Real Estate)

Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Irvine, CA. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for real estate entities, including recording and reconciling transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining general ledgers. The accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with cash flow analysis for properties and projects. Additional responsibilities include reviewing lease agreements for proper accounting treatment, handling accounts payable and receivable related to real estate operations, and coordinating with property managers and internal stakeholders on financial matters. The role also involves supporting audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and contributing to process improvements within the finance function. Qualifications Public accounting experience or strong foundation in general accounting principles, with experience in real estate or property management accounting. Ability to analyze financial data, prepare accurate reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and property stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP and relevant real estate accounting practices; familiarity with lease accounting is beneficial. Demonstrated integrity, discretion with confidential information, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
