Maintenance Worker

Carry out tasks such as repairing brickwork, mixing and applying cement, glazing windows, minor carpentry, electrical work, lacing belts and mechanics. Frequently assists skilled tradespeople—including machinists, millwrights, electricians, plumbers, and other craftsmen—in the repair and installation of machinery and equipment. Provides hands-on support during projects, ensures the work area is properly cleaned after tasks are completed, and delivers additional services as needed to facilitate efficient operations and teamwork. Applies tools and techniques from multiple trades to support maintenance and repair activities, demonstrating versatility across disciplines. While not a fully skilled craftsman in any single trade, effectively performs semiskilled tasks that contribute to the upkeep, functionality, and efficiency of factory buildings, machinery, and equipment. Occasionally cleans roof and waterspouts, remove rubbish, mend caulking, and make minor repairs to machinery, equipment, or buildings. It may be necessary for the selected employee to pursue specialized courses or additional training to augment existing skills
