We are proud to provide a supportive, team-oriented environment where both patients and employees feel valued.  The Patient Care Coordinator is a key administrative and front-office partner who creates a welcoming, organized, and supportive experience for patients and families from the moment they enter our clinics. Serving as the first point of contact, this role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth clinic operations, clear communication, and a positive patient experience.  The Patient Care Coordinator works closely with clinicians and care teams to support scheduling, registration, documentation, and day-to-day clinic flow. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, service-driven, and energized by supporting both people and processes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.  WHAT YOU'LL DO:    Serve as the primary front desk point of contact, creating a welcoming and professional experience for patients and families  Manage check-in, registration, and scheduling workflows, ensuring accuracy and efficiency  Collect, verify, and maintain patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR  Handle administrative tasks including phone calls, documentation, scheduling requests, and visit preparation  Collect patient payments, process transactions accurately, and answer basic billing and payment-related questions.  Communicate and collaborate with clinicians and clinic staff to support smooth clinic operations  Support patient outreach and follow-up related to scheduling and care coordination needs  Maintain a clean, organized front-office environment and assist with opening and closing routines  Provide cross-coverage support, assist with training, and contribute to process improvements as needed  For PCCs with the clinical qualifications, there is the opportunity to flex up and support the back office as needed   WHAT YOU NEED:     High school diploma or GED required; additional education or equivalent experience is a plus  1+ year of experience in an administrative, front desk, customer service, or patient-facing role  Comfort using computer systems and scheduling platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, EMR or similar systems)  Healthcare experience preferred  Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail  Clear, professional, and empathetic communication skills — both written and verbal  Ability to remain calm, flexible, and collaborative in a fast-paced environment  Experience working with children and families is highly valued  A proactive mindset with a commitment to accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement   COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE:   Clinic hours and shifts vary between the following windows:   North Alabama Clinics:   Huntsville & Madison: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pm   Central Alabama Clinics:   Hoover & Tuscaloosa: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pm   Trussville: Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pm   South Alabama Clinics:   Daphne: Monday-Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pm   Mobile: Monday-Friday 10am to 6pm; Saturday & Sunday 8am to 6pm   Hourly pay rate based on years of  experience  Evening premium pay applies to all shifts beginning at or after 6:00 PM  Weekend Premium Pay: Eligible for weekend premium pay on all weekend shifts worked.  Weekend Requirement: Full-time clinicians are expected to work a minimum of four weekend shifts per month.  Holiday Requirement: Required to participate in holiday coverage, including:  One enterprise-designated winter holiday  One enterprise-designated summer holiday  One designated high-impact holiday  Holiday Premium Pay: All qualifying holiday shifts are eligible for applicable premium pay.  PRN-specific expectations:   Maintain a minimum availability of three shifts per month.  Work at least one weekend shift per month.  Work at least one enterprise-designated winter holiday and one designated high-impact day during the applicable period.  Qualifying holiday and impact-day shifts are eligible for premium pay.  Maintain a high level of engagement with the organization between scheduled shifts.  Regularly review company emails, communications, and operational updates to remain informed and connected to the team.   WHAT WE OFFER:     A collaborative, mission-driven workplace focused on kindness, equity, and service excellence  Opportunities to grow within an organization that values internal development and career progression  Supportive leadership and strong cross-functional collaboration  Competitive compensation including shift differential and premium pay opportunities  A role where your organizational skills and people-first approach directly impact patient experience and clinic success   Why Work at UC4C?
