Brad Stewart with Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting for a Sr. Accountant to join a client in Sparks, Nevada. In this onsite role, you will help maintain accurate financial records, support the monthly close cycle, and contribute to reliable reporting across the organization. This position works closely with the Assistant Controller and serves as a key accounting partner for day-to-day operations and compliance activities. Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger activity, including account upkeep, transaction review, and reporting accuracy across assigned areas. • Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end adjustments to support timely and accurate financial statements. • Partner with the team to complete close activities and meet internal reporting deadlines. • Review account balances regularly to identify variances, resolve discrepancies, and strengthen financial integrity. • Assist accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to improve accuracy and support efficient cash and payment processes. • Complete sales and use tax filings based on nexus requirements and applicable regulations. • Provide documentation, schedules, and analysis for internal and external audit requests. • Act as a finance resource for cross-functional teams by answering accounting questions and supporting business needs. • Handle additional accounting projects and special assignments while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel information. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with relevant accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. • At least 5 years of experience in accounting, including work with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations. • Strong Excel skills and the ability to investigate issues, solve problems, and work independently with sound judgment. • Working knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting practices. • Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and workplace safety requirements related to accounting operations. • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred. • Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred. • Reliable, adaptable, and committed to professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
