Senior Accountant

Frederick Fox is partnering with a growing organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for an accountant who enjoys a combination of hands-on accounting, financial analysis, technical accounting and process improvement. Responsibilities Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements Analyze financial results, investigate variances and identify key trends Provide financial insights and recommendations to management Ensure accounting activity is completed accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards Assist with moderately complex technical accounting matters Partner with and provide guidance to less experienced accounting team members Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting and internal controls Help develop and implement accounting policies and procedures Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit requirements Work cross-functionally with other areas of the business to resolve accounting and reporting issues Support ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field CPA required OR must be actively working toward obtaining CPA licensure 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting and month-end close Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations Ideal Background The ideal candidate will have experience within a corporate accounting environment and be comfortable handling both routine and more complex accounting matters. Previous experience working within a larger or multi-entity organization would be beneficial. 3 days onsite in Plano, Texas.
