International Registered Nurse - Full-Time

Role Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 2 is an entry-level registered nurse responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, primarily in a hemodialysis setting. They may delegate tasks to care staff such as LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians and participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes. Key Duties Perform patient assessments and monitor data during dialysis treatments, adjusting care plans as needed. Educate patients and families about treatment options and self-care. Administer medications and respond to emergencies. Ensure proper laboratory procedures and documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update care plans and document outcomes. Serve as a resource, mentor, and potentially preceptor new staff, supporting continuous quality improvement. Maintain compliance with policies, standards, and regulations. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with current state licensure. CPR/BLS certification. Minimum of 2 years nephrology nursing experience, with at least 3 months in hemodialysis. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving patients, and standing for long periods. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Additional Requirements Completion of CAP training to maintain or advance within the program. May be assigned supervision of care staff after meeting specific experience and training criteria. Work environment involves exposure to infectious materials, heavy lifting, and physical activity typical of healthcare settings.
