# Controls Technician

Vire Control Systems, LLC

Ready to take your panel-building skills to the next level? At VCS, Controls Technicians handle the full build of project-based electrical control panels — and go a step further, updating drawings, configuring devices, and running I/O checkout as panels come together. It is the next step up from Shop Technician for someone who already knows their way around a schematic. What You’ll Do:
• Layout, punch, drill, tap, and mount components in sheet metal enclosures
• Assemble electrical components on panels and install panels in enclosures
• Wire customized industrial control panels by reading and interpreting electrical schematics, using correct wire size and color
• Update electrical drawings to reflect field or build changes
• Configure devices (VFDs, sensors, network devices, and similar hardware) as part of the build
• Perform I/O checkout as part of panel testing and commissioning
• Create and attach labels, including terminal block markers
• Perform quality tests and prepare enclosures for shipment
• Route and bundle wires and cables neatly to established electrical standards
• Keep projects on schedule and within allocated hours
• Maintain a clean shop and work area
• Operate standard shop tools (voltmeter, label engraver, hand tools, drills, saws, sanders/grinders, torque tools, forklift/pallet jack)
• Engage with customers in a professional, friendly manner What You Bring
• Basic knowledge of electrical schematics, with the ability to read and interpret them for a build
• Comfortable updating drawings, configuring devices, and performing I/O checkout
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft 365 skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent relevant experience Nice to Have
• Prior panel-build or manufacturing/assembly experience
• Forklift/pallet jack certification

As a Controls Technician, you will build real ownership over the panels you configure and check out, and have a clear path to grow toward Electrical Designer or Controls Engineering as your skills develop. Location: Clarksville, AR (72830) — shop-based. This role requires occasional travel to job sites, along with the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work on your feet throughout the day.
