Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional patient care, utilizing the nursing process, technology, evidence-based practices, and team coordination. Key Responsibilities Assess, recognize, and address patients' physical and psychological needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Communicate compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ensure compliance with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines. Oversee care provided by LPNs and CNAs; participate in clinical team conferences. Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional policies and procedures. Qualifications & Skills Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required within four years unless exempted. Current RN license in practice state; BLS certification required. Ability to assess patient needs, operate monitors, and communicate effectively. Manual dexterity for handling equipment and supplies; physical ability to lift and move patients. Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with patients and team members. Additional Duties & Environment: The RN works in a fast-paced, team nursing environment on a 45-bed orthopedic unit caring for diverse medical and surgical patients. The role involves using innovative patient mobility devices, participating in unit tours, and contributing to a collaborative care model.
