Job Description The primary purpose of the Maintenance Manager's position is to manage all aspects of maintenance, and improvements/modifications of production and support equipment, buildings, and grounds. To manage mechanical maintenance department with the objective of maximizing machine uptime and quality. To act as a liaison between the mechanical maintenance team and production, administration, electrical maintenance, and outside contractors. This is a Salaried Exempt position and is not eligible for overtime. Qualifications Excellent time management skills Excellent attendance record over a multi-year span. Excellent disciplinary record over a multi-year span. Experience in diagnosing and correcting mechanical / electrical equipment failures Experience in developing and maintaining preventive, predictive, and proactive mechanical /electrical maintenance programs for all plant equipment Experience leading a diverse group of skilled technicians and technician trainees Strong people skills and the ability to challenge, motivate, and support direct reports Advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge and aptitude Advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with all levels of associates Ability to lead through demonstration, communication, organization, and reinforcement Ability to make logical, unemotional decisions in stressful situations A strong desire and willingness to both learn and teach High level of maturity and self-discipline Demonstrated high energy level, strong work ethic, and logical approach to problem solving.
