Mechanical Estimator

A Mechanical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related systems. Key Responsibilities Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documents. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material estimates. Prepare labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. Develop competitive bids and proposals for projects. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors. Identify project requirements, exclusions, risks, and potential cost savings. Maintain estimating databases, pricing information, and historical cost records. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when required. Assist with project handoff to the operations/project management team. Ensure estimates are accurate, complete, and submitted within bid deadlines. Qualifications Experience in mechanical construction estimating or a related field. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines. Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. What We Offer: Competitive salary.
