Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, help to deter incidents through a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture built on integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation. • 08:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post instructions. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial facilities, including production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations. Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions. Maintain required reports and activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and follow applicable armed post procedures. Minimum Requirements Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent. Customer service experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
