# Technician Sr, Maintenance

Kraton Polymers, located in Belpre, OH is seeking experienced Maintenance Instrument Electrician (IE). This position requires a candidate that is able to thrive in a challenging chemical plant environment and is looking to advance and grow with our Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance on process and production equipment throughout the facility. The Instrument Electrician (IE) Technician is responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, and/or replacing the physical equipment in the plant, correctly, and efficiently. IE Technicians install, troubleshoot, service and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment. They also, install, service, test and calibrate various other electronic equipment. This job is on a 12 hour rotating shift. • multiple plans available with Flexible Spending Account & Health Savings Account options Dental & Vision Insurance Health Advocate – free support to help you understand your coverage and answer questions Life Insurance – base coverage paid for by Kraton with option for additional coverage 401k – Kraton provides matching contributions based on enrollment level Employee Assistance Program – provided at no cost to employees Accident, Disability, and Critical Illness Insurance Key Responsibilities Requires installation, repair and maintenance of all instrumentation &equipment used in process controls, analyzing systems, valves/actuators, and electrical systems Dismantles, cleans, replaces parts, assembles and calibrates pneumatic and electronic instruments Determines causes for malfunctioning instruments and takes appropriate action to correct trouble Reads and interprets electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID and loop drawings Performs preventive maintenance on instrumentation & equipment Working as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently andmaintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties Adheres to all safety policies and procedures Participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping and continuous improvement processes Ensuring safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation using SAP. Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery Conduct work in a safe manner including safe operation of machinery and equipment Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Performing other related duties as assigned Required Skills Ability to maintain health, safety, and environmental standards as a personal performance core value Proficient computer & PLC knowledge Proficient mechanical knowledge and ability Physical capability, willingness, and ability to work in a team environment Good interpersonal and influential skills Willingness and availability to work overtime and extra scheduled shifts as required Ability to work safely and effectively with under minimal supervision Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills Self-starting skills Working knowledge of safety standards Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills enabling effectiveness in a diverse work environment Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds – ability to pass a physical assessment test.
