Production Planning Engineer

Job Description Summary Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs, ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs, optimize inventory and process improvements Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy, may include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others Manage, update utilize work orders in SAP system. Check and update routings. Ensure transfer of work orders (operations) to MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for hours registering in workshop Identify and correct registries to increase MOS (Material Optimization System) score. If necessary, request corrections from other departments/teams Support Production and Quality teams for update of Non-Quality work orders. Attend improvement activities such as Kaizen and Lean events. Represent Planning Team as an expert of SAP Improve standard work, eliminate waste (both software and task based) Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields Solid experience in production planning and ERP Advanced level of English both oral & written Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with a particular focus on advanced Excel functions Ability to work in Gebze location Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and complex organizations Enthusiastic and excited for improvement projects/initiatives Good analytical and problem-solving skills Capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment Eager to develop and grow professionally within the field of production planning Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
