EHS Manager or Lead (TL & SS)

Key Responsibilities Project Oversight: Lead the EHS department for the construction of high-voltage transmission lines and substations. Compliance: Ensure all site activities align with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Uzbekistan local legal requirements. Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) for high-risk activities, including working at heights, heavy lifting, and stringing operations. Incident Investigation: Lead the investigation of any near-misses or accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventative actions (CAPA). Training & Mentorship: Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and specialized training sessions for site engineers and laborers. Auditing: Perform regular site safety audits and inspections of equipment, PPE, and specialized machinery used in TL/SS projects. Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly/monthly EHS performance reports to project management and the client. Candidate Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Safety Engineering preferred). Experience: Minimum 12 years of total experience in EHS management within the construction/infrastructure sector. Sector Expertise: Proven exposure and hands-on experience specifically in Transmission Line (TL) and Substation (SS) packages. Certifications: Must hold NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate) or higher. Language Skills: Proficiency in the Uzbek language is mandatory. Fluency in English (or Russian) is highly preferred for international coordination. Mandatory Experience Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental management plans in wind projects and/or having equivalent experience in power plants of similar technology or similar mega infra works .
