(CNI / CNII / CNIII) Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care: .1 identifies patient/caregiver teaching needs .2 identifies patient safety issues .3 Identifies patient comfort / pain issues (CNI / CNII / CNIII) Performs the priority procedures for the assigned patients or areas safely • without causing harm legally • within the scope of practice and SMMC policy and in a manner perceived as satisfying by the patient and family. (CNIII) Identifies actual and potentially unsafe care practices, initiates actions as appropriate to prevent or correct and reports in a timely manner.
