Role Overview This position involves assessing residents' health, educational, and environmental needs, and developing dynamic, interdisciplinary care plans. The RN communicates changes in condition to the team, documents assessments and interventions, and ensures care plans are followed and updated as needed. Responsibilities include administering medications, treatments, IV fluids, and responding to residents' needs with critical thinking and professionalism. The role requires close monitoring of resident status, effective communication with the interdisciplinary team, and addressing any issues promptly using quality improvement processes. Additionally, the RN assists with resident care activities, answers call lights, and maintains current nursing knowledge through ongoing education. Qualifications And Skills Licensed RN with current state license. Graduate from an accredited nursing program. CPR/AED certification (or willing to obtain within six months). Critical thinking, excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and move residents and equipment safely. Manual dexterity and visual acuity. Preferred experience in long-term care. Ability to document accurately electronically and in writing. Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
