Food Service Worker Leader

About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Clinical Support, Nutrition Care, Food and Production Services at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Serve as working leader of 3 or more employees in accomplishing trades and labor work. Pass on instructions received from supervisor to employees. Insure food and cleaning supplies, equipment and tools are available. Check work progress and compliance with supervisor's instructions and guidelines. Answer worker's questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives. Provide information to supervisor about status and progress of work. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Service Worker Leader I have the ability to perform common task such as loading dish machine and unloading clean dishes. I can assist handicapped dining room customers with meal selection and transport. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. ~ without more than normal supervision. • Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Efforts: Work involves frequent lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting up to 44 pounds, and constant standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a noisy kitchen. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used; exposed to dirt, grease and water in cleaning tasks; exposed to extremes in temperature when removing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. Wears safety shoes and other protective items as required.
