MEP Project Manager

MEP Project Manager Build Your Career with a Leading Mechanical Contractor. Our client is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to join our growing team and lead mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional who understands HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, project management, subcontractor coordination, procurement, scheduling, and project financials and wants to take ownership of challenging multifamily construction projects. You'll be responsible for keeping projects on schedule, controlling costs, coordinating project requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring successful project completion. Responsibilities Manage mechanical construction projects from project kickoff through final completion and closeout. Coordinate HVAC and plumbing project activities with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams. Manage and expedite submittals, shop drawings, equipment approvals, material procurement, and deliveries. Review project plans, specifications, and scope to identify potential issues, gaps, and opportunities. Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, change orders, directives, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. Coordinate subcontractor buyout, subcontract agreements, vendor relationships, and equipment procurement. Monitor project schedules and proactively address issues that could affect project progress. Support field operations by resolving technical, logistical, and project-related challenges. Manage project budgets, billings, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance. Identify scope gaps, potential change orders, project risks, and cost opportunities. Maintain accurate project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle. Participate in project meetings and communicate project status, issues, and solutions effectively. Coordinate project closeout, as-built documentation, owner training, and turnover requirements. Negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing and assist with procurement strategies. Maintain strong customer relationships while delivering projects safely, efficiently, and professionally. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of project management experience in HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, or MEP construction. Experience managing multifamily, apartment, residential, or similar construction projects . Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction systems. Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, general contractors, owners, architects, and engineers. Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, project documentation, and closeout. Demonstrated experience with project budgets, billing, forecasting, and cost control. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software. Professional written and verbal English communication skills. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $75,000 - $125,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.
