# Production Controller

Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM)

About the Position: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) is located in northeast Texas, 19 miles west of Texarkana and approximately 170 miles northeast of Dallas. RRAD is near the corners of 4 states
• Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas. The depot's enormous maintenance mission includes the repair, rebuild, overhaul and conversion of tactical wheeled vehicles. For more information on Red River Army Depot, go to the following web site: http://www.redriver.army.mil.
Develop production cost estimates for internal and external customers.
Assist with determining production cost for purchase of parts or materials.
Assist with preparing cost estimates of man-hours and materials for logistics operations.
Maintain office files such as production records, billing, or cost reports for audit purposes.
Report discrepancies in program funding, schedules, or quality to the higher-level production controllers.
Coordinate with work center managers on reconciled data, cost discrepancies, or outstanding service charges for the accounting purposes.
Utilize an automated maintenance management systems to develop, maintain, or make changes to production schedules to ensure program goals are met.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing statistical data to correct data such as cost issues, labor hours and service charges; 2) Assisting with the preparation of outlines for basic production schedules; and 3) Utilizing programs such as Microsoft Excel to reconcile data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
