Senior Technical Support Engineer – Backup & Storage Location: Turkey Company Overview 83zero is excited to be partnering with a growing global software vendor in the backup, storage and data protection space, as they continue to expand their Technical Support team in Turkey. Due to continued growth and strong demand for their technology, they are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Support Engineer who loves getting stuck into complex technical problems and taking ownership through to resolution. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys deep technical troubleshooting, working directly with customers and collaborating with Engineering teams to solve problems properly — not just apply workarounds. The Role You’ll join a team of experienced Engineers supporting enterprise customers across the EMEA region. You’ll take ownership of complex technical cases from initial investigation through to resolution, working across backup, storage, Linux, networking and wider infrastructure environments . There is no real technical ceiling in this role. You’ll be expected to dig into logs, identify root causes, understand how different parts of a customer environment interact and, where required, work directly with Software Engineering and Development teams to resolve more complex product issues. Alongside the technical troubleshooting, you’ll build strong relationships with customers and act as a trusted technical point of contact, helping ensure they get the best possible experience from the technology. From time to time, you may also be asked to visit customer sites, with all business travel expenses covered. What We’re Looking For Strong experience within Technical Support, Customer Support Engineering, Technical Account Management or a similar troubleshooting-focused role Hands-on experience supporting enterprise backup, storage or data protection technologies Experience working with technologies from vendors such as Commvault, Veeam, Veritas, Cohesity, Rubrik, Dell EMC, NetApp, ExaGrid or similar Strong troubleshooting experience across Linux / Unix operating systems Good understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, routing, subnetting and connectivity troubleshooting Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructure and software environments Strong experience analysing logs, system behaviour and root causes Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences Comfortable taking ownership of complex customer issues and driving them through to resolution A genuine passion for troubleshooting and solving difficult technical problems A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge with other Engineers A strong focus on delivering an excellent customer experience A clear passion for learning, development and continuing to grow technically Why Join?
