Location: Mountain View, California Work Arrangement: Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Annual Salary Range: $90,000–$100,000 Experience: 6+ years in quantitative data analysis About the Role We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with strong SQL skills, hands-on analytical experience, and familiarity with AWS data services. In this role, you will work with complex datasets, investigate business problems, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for technical teams, executives, and business leaders. The ideal candidate takes ownership of analysis from start to finish, learns unfamiliar systems quickly, and works effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end analysis, from defining business questions and gathering data to validating findings and presenting recommendations. Write advanced SQL queries from scratch to extract, join, segment, and aggregate data from data warehouses and other sources. Use Python or R to clean, process, analyze, and model data. Identify trends, investigate anomalies, and uncover opportunities to improve business performance and operational efficiency. Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency to ensure reliable analytical results. Work with relational databases, NoSQL systems, and streaming data sources as needed. Apply data modeling and schema design principles to support accurate, scalable analysis. Collaborate across teams to understand data architecture, system interactions, and business requirements. Communicate complex technical findings clearly to executives and nontechnical stakeholders. Independently investigate unfamiliar systems through documentation, research, and targeted discussions with subject matter experts. Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience involving quantitative data analysis. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Analytics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, subqueries, common table expressions, window functions, segmentation, and aggregation. Hands-on proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling. Experience with data querying and processing tools, including relational databases, NoSQL systems, or stream-processing platforms. Familiarity with AWS core concepts and data services, particularly Amazon Redshift and Amazon Athena. Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data warehouse concepts. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to combine quantitative and qualitative analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly to business leaders. Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience with instrumentation, event tracking, and clickstream data. Familiarity with complex business systems such as Salesforce, Amazon Connect, and EWFM. Ability to quickly understand data flows and interactions across interconnected business systems.
