SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST

You will serve as a SHIPBUILDING SPECIALIST in the WATERFRONT OPERATIONS 300 of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER. PAY RANGE GS-11: $85,307-$110,905 GS-09: $70,507-$91,664 You will review and evaluate contractors proposals. You will provide input to/or negotiate labor and material cost. You will conduct technical advisory reviews of contract specifications to evaluate contactor estimates. You will accomplish ship inspections to determine the ships material conditions and the systems and components parts. You will perform long range planning, estimating and accomplish technical analyst of customer and contractor proposals. You will provide prompt communication with waterfront support. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing inspections of depot-level naval vessel overhaul, repair, or modernization activities by executing planning, ship checks, material procurement, and work-specification reviews to support compliance with contractual requirements. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with depot-level naval vessel overhaul, repair, or modernization activities by supporting planning, contracting, ship checks, material procurement, and work-specification execution to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
