SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN)

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/PLCYPLN) in the Operations Department {N3), Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, Guam {NCTS GUAM). You will plan, manage, and directs the activities of the Operations Department, which is responsible for providing Network Operations. You will perform a variety of functions on a wide range of information assurance and information security issues and responsible for providing a variety of essential technical management and oversight functions. You will be responsible for supporting joint service communications system management on Guam. You will provide instruction and guidance, coordinates scheduling and completion of work and evaluates techniques, advises and provides technical assistance. You will administer such programs as recruitment, staffing, merit promotion, employee performance appraisal and rating, military evaluations, employee relations, safety, and environmental health. You will serve as a management representative at hearings, and meetings; and as applicable, meet with labor representatives to discuss and resolve labor complaints within the department. You will inform interested and affected agencies and subordinate commands of progress toward meeting objectives and policies. Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1.Attention to Detail • Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by 1) Expert knowledge and experience in Cyber Security tools, methodologies, policies, and procedures are required to evaluate and make recommendations concerning overall plans for telecommunications programs. 2) Plans immediate, short and long-range programs/goals for the department.
