In this role, you will lead the development of a robust, mission-critical power system engineered to perform reliably regardless of the mission.&nbsp; Responsibilities&nbsp; Design, build, and&nbsp;test&nbsp;electrical power subsystems for flight hardware in orbital environments&nbsp;&nbsp; Define&nbsp;and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;power system requirements and perform architecture-level design trades&nbsp;&nbsp; Analyze and&nbsp;validate&nbsp;power system performance against requirements through modeling, simulation, and testing&nbsp;&nbsp; Perform solar array sizing, including shading, peak, and average power analyses for orbital missions&nbsp;&nbsp; Assess radiation effects on electronics and develop mitigation strategies&nbsp;&nbsp; Conduct fault tolerance, redundancy, and reliability analyses for power systems&nbsp; Work cross-functionally with structures, thermal, avionics, and GNC teams to ensure power system compatibility with vehicle-level performance&nbsp; Support environmental qualification and acceptance testing, including thermal-vacuum, vibration, and leak/proof pressure testing&nbsp; Contribute to&nbsp;vehicle&nbsp;layout&nbsp;and&nbsp;packaging&nbsp;decisions, accounting for radiation exposure and&nbsp;thermal environments&nbsp; Interface with external vendors and suppliers, owning technical coordination,&nbsp;component&nbsp;sourcing, and qualification to ensure delivered hardware meets performance, quality, and schedule requirements&nbsp; About You&nbsp; You’re&nbsp;a successful candidate if you are a giver, not a taker. You are exceptional at several things, yet willing to take on efforts in areas of weakness.&nbsp;&nbsp; Required Qualifications&nbsp; Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering&nbsp;or a closely related ABET-accredited discipline&nbsp;&nbsp; 5+ years of experience in power converter or electrical power system development&nbsp;&nbsp; Proficiency&nbsp;in&nbsp;designing and testing&nbsp;of 1-10 kW power systems&nbsp;&nbsp; Familiarity with power system packaging, integration, and testing for space environments&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams&nbsp;&nbsp; Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities&nbsp;&nbsp; Bonus Points For&nbsp; Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering&nbsp;or a related field&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with fault-tolerant design and FMECA for safety-critical systems&nbsp;&nbsp; Background working in configuration-controlled or safety-critical aerospace environments&nbsp;&nbsp; Prior experience with spacecraft electrical power systems (e.g., solar arrays, batteries, power distribution, or power electronics)&nbsp; Compensation and Benefits Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
